One half of the King Khan & BBQ Show and the infamous BBQ one man band. Singer/guitarist of Mind Controls. Drummer/singer of Les Sexareenos. Singer of The Spaceshits. Collaborator with The Deadly Snakes, Jack Oblivian and The Demon’s Claws. Treasurer of the Death Cult (along with Khan, the Demon’s Claws, The Black Lips, The Spits and The Gris Gris). Owner of Sultan Records. He’s toured the world several times over as a musical vagabond of missionary proportions. Ring a bell? resulting in an electric explosion of fire, love, and everything in
between. Hailing from the college town of San Luis Obispo, Plywood
Love is Skyllar Evans (vocals), Matthew Tibbetts (guitar), Charlie
Croxdale (guitar), Dane Kelly (bass), and Owen Peters (drums).
Residing in the central coast underground music scene, we have played
in bars, on the streets, in basements, small venues, parking garages,
etc… Although we come from all over the country, with our combined
interest in all things music, our inception in the fall of 2021 was
inevitable. Plywood Love creates something that resembles surf rock,
but wouldn’t be categorized as such. Our sound is upbeat,
unapologetic, and above all unambiguously unique.
