DESCRIPTION:FREE Show 21+ \nWe Play For Cash (WP4$) is a four-piece show band that plays “Arena Rock for the New\nMillennium.” The band is based in Atascadero\, and has been active in the central coast since\n2012. The band is touted for engaging stage presentations that connect with all-age audiences\nacross a broad range of songs and instrumentation. Think modern-day Fleetwood Mac meets\nCheap Trick on a Led Zeppelin tour.\nWP4$ was started by award-winning\, hot shot guitarist/producer\, Ron Hagadone (“Lef D\nTroyt”)\, along with seasoned vocalist/writer/musician\, Sharine Borslien (“Tryxxie Pyxis”)\, who\nRay Charles called “a great singer and songwriter.” Local musicians bassist Daniel Kieselhorst\n(“Phil Durt”) and drummer Bill Watson (“Bam Bam”) complete the lineup. The WP4$ goal is to\nbring high-energy\, visually appealing performances to area stages\, while showcasing their band\nmembers’ unique abilities.\nWP4$ take their music seriously\, but they love to have fun. Members have stage names\, often\ndonning colorful costumes. Male and female singers trade lead vocal duties and combine\nharmonically in a well-rounded ensemble. They create a real rock ’n’ roll show that captivates\naudiences with a feel-good experience.\nAnother important aspect of WP4$ is its wide variety songs by venerated artists that include Tom\nPetty\, Janis Joplin\, Neil Young\, Jefferson Starship\, Santana\, Chrissy Hynde & The Pretenders\,\nand Led Zeppelin. Musical genres range from 60s folk to 70s classic rock and contemporary\, and\nfrom 80s pop to 90s alternative\, with offerings of well-loved songs from the 21st century. The\nband is also known for its excellent original songs\, dozens of which have received airplay on\nKLOS 95.5 FM\, over 100 college and community radio stations across the country\, in addition to\nbeing streamed on all major digital platforms including Amazon\, Spotify\, Pandora\, and others.\nWP4$ also features a versatile lineup of instruments\, including electric and double-neck guitars\,\nkeyboard\, bass\, drums and percussion\, harmonica\, flute\, and the Theremin. Such multiplicity\nprovides significant musical flexibility that keeps listeners from being sonically fatigued.\nAudience members may choose to dance\, sing along\, cheer\, or just listen appreciatively to the\npresentation of vocals\, guitar rhythms and solos\, and musical interludes.
