SUMMARY:Which One's Pink ~ A celebration of Pink Floyd
DESCRIPTION:All Floyd\, All Night. We’re talking smoke\, lasers\, prisms and pigs. Which One is Pink? is an eclectic group that joined together to pay homage to perhaps the most legendary band of all time: Pink Floyd!! \nWhich One is Pink? is an eclectic group of Los Angeles-based musicians \nthat joined together to pay homage to perhaps the most legendary classic rock \nband of all time — Pink Floyd. Founded in 1997 by musician-turned-lawyer Larry \nIsenberg\, Which One is Pink? derives its name from the classic line. “The band is \njust fantastic\, that is really what I think\, oh by the way\, which one is pink?”from \nPink Floyd’s song Have A Cigar. Which One Is Pink? has built a large following by \nword of mouth from its performances at the premier live music venues throughout \nthe southwestern United States. \nUnlike many tribute bands\, Which One is Pink? makes no effort to appear \nlike their predecessors\, instead focusing exclusively on recreating the surrealistic \nsound and psychedelic atmosphere associated with Pink Floyd. Lead singer and \nguitarist Paul Samarin erilee reproduces Pink Floyd’s distinctive vocals\, and his \nguitar playing so closely mirrors Gilmour’s solos that one swears the band must \nbe running sequenced samples taken from the original recordings. Guitarist Allen \nMoreno captures the often hypnotic rhythm guitar parts\, with Scott Richards (bass \nand vocals) and Marty Brumer (drums) completing the rock steady rhythm \nsection. Larry Isenberg and Nick Feduska use multiple keyboards to paint the \nvast auditory canvas from which virtually all of the Floyd’s catalogue gets its \ndistinctive ethereal sound. \nOn February 11 th \, W1P will be celebrating 25 years performing together\, as \nits first show was in February 1998\, at the Roxy in Hollywood. Since then\, W1P \nperformed approximately 500 shows throughout California\, Nevada\, Arizona and \nTexas.
