DESCRIPTION:This event raises funds and awareness for the Veterans Express Shuttle Service operated by Ride-On Transportation of SLO County.  \nWhat:  A Special Benefit Concert \nWho: Grammy Award-winning Louie Ortega and the All-Stars with Special Guest Talia Ortega! \nWhen:  Sunday\, November 6th • 4:00p.m. – 7:00p.m.  \nWhere:  The Siren\, Morro Bay  \nEnjoy the lively Tex-Mex upbeat tunes by Louie Ortega and the All-Stars! Get ready to put on your dancing shoes and have some fun at The Siren in Morro Bay. \n\n\nLouie Ortega & the All-Stars will be playing original material\, including Latin/Cuban-influenced songs\, Classic Rock\, Blues\, Jazz and more! Enjoy all of your favorite songs and some new ones from their new Louie Ortega & Talia Ortega Collaboration recording entitled\, “Ruby”.  \nLouie Ortega’s music career spans more than three decades\, beginning in 1969 as front man for Louie and the Lovers. His band released an album in 1970\, “Rise\,” after being discovered by Doug Sahm\, whose Sir Douglas Quintet had a top-20 Billboard hit in 1965 with “She’s About a Mover”. \nLouie Ortega website: www.louieortega.net/ \n\nThe Cause:\n \n\n\nRide-On Transportation SLO is proud to offer transportation for Veterans in San Luis Obispo County from their homes to local SLO County Veteran’s Clinics. This service provides Veterans with disabilities and/or Veterans who have no means of transportation\, door-to-door service to the San Luis Obispo or Santa Maria veterans’ clinics. \nThe cost\, $3.00 each way\, is subsidized by contributions from the community and Ride-On. Rides are limited to once a month due to current funding levels. Call (805) 541-8747 to make reservations for rides\, 2 to 3 days before your appointment. \n\n
