DESCRIPTION:Free event 21+ \nThe Only Ocean is a 2 piece indie-post punk-alternative rock outfit. Blending the pop styles of the Spice Girls and the guitars of My Bloody Valentine and Ride. The intention is to create songs that featured a wall of sound\, the loud shoegaze guitars\, but combined with pop rhythms. Starting as a high school band from Lompoc\, California\, vocalist/guitar player Wesley Hill has since relocated the band to Los Angeles with new member Jordan Kaufman. The Only Ocean’s latest single\, “Still You Won’t” landed #1 three weeks in a row on KROQ’s Locals Only in December 2019 and remained in the top five until late January 2020. Their self-titled release\, second EP TOO\, and everything after are all produced\, engineered and recorded by Jonathan DeBaun (The Mars Volta\, Omar Rodríguez-López). With standout tracks such as\, “Watch It Fall\,” “Replaceable” and “Fake Sunflowers\,” the band has received love from Grimy Goods\, Impose Magazine\, Northern Transmissions\, Buzzbands.la\, American Songwriter and more. They’re currently back in the studio gearing up and and getting ready for the next release. \n\ngoodgrief is a 4 piece alternative rock band from Lompoc CA providing a blend of punk\, surf rock\, pop\, grunge\, and indie all tied together with catchy melodies and grooves. \nFormed in March of 2021; goodgrief has released one studio album titled: “dont call me” in January of 2022. At the time of this bio being written the band is in Pre Production to record their second album. \nThe band consists of \nBrett Ryan Lietz – Guitar/Vocals \nBrinton (Tank) Brockett – Drums \nRoland Barrera – Guitar/Backing Vocals \nMiguel Enciso – Bass
