SUMMARY:The Henhouse Prowlers w/Little Tyme
DESCRIPTION:THE HENHOUSE PROWLERS ARE BLUEGRASS AMBASSADORS. \nFounded 17 years ago with the simple desire to play original and powerful \nbluegrass\, this quartet now finds themselves at the intersection of performance\, \ndiplomacy and education. \nOn stage\, the group’s enthralling performances give audiences a sense of how \nmuch they love what they do. On record – including their 2021 release and ninth \nfull length album\, The Departure – the band explores their collective life experiences \nthrough songwriting and intricate instrumentation. While bluegrass is the \nundeniable foundation of the Prowlers music\, the band bends and squeezes the \ntraditional form into a sound all their own. \nWorking with the U.S. State Department and under their own nonprofit\, \nBluegrass Ambassadors\, the Prowlers have toured over 25 countries across the \nglobe. The group’s experiences with people and musicians across Africa\, Asia\, \nEurope\, and The Middle East have shaped the band’s world view and broadened the \ngroup’s direction towards bridging cultural gaps with music\, educational programs \nand workshops. Using traditional American music as a foundation\, connecting folk \nmusic and cultures the world over\, the Prowlers incorporate international elements \ninto their already robust repertoire of unique traditional American music. \nWhether performing live or presenting workshops\, and wherever they are\, the \nHenhouse Prowlers find and spread the commonality we share as human beings \nthrough the universal language of music. \nYou can feel it at every show. \n\n\nLittle Tyme is a folk and Americana band based in San Luis Obispo\, CA. Performing old folk songs\, well-known classics and fresh originals with lush harmonies\, beautiful melodies and solid instrumentation\, they are perfect for a feel-good\, relaxing afternoon. With members Reika Cully (Pirates Canoe)\, Owen Hunt and Chad Hoffman (Zen Mountain Poets\, Red Eye Junction).
