The record was co-produced with Gary Jules (Mad World\, Donnie Darko) who will also be performing.\n\n\nSounding Arrow\n\nVeteran recording artist Scott Kinnebrew returns with SKYMAN\, the newest release from his solo project\, Sounding Arrow. An ode to easeful living\, the soundscape of SKYMAN feels intimate\, layered\, and expansive. \nCo-produced by Gary Jules (“Mad World” from the Donnie Darko soundtrack) and mixed by Bill Reynolds (Band of Horses\, The Avett Brothers’ Emotionalism)\, SKYMAN weaves a vivid sonic landscape rich with the textures of rock\, folk\, country\, blues\, British invasion\, R&B\, and pop. It’s a brew that resists classification\, as it lands somewhere between tradition and invention — what Kinnebrew thinks of as “sonic impressionism.” \nThe songs on SKYMAN are rooted in a personal narrative\, but stretch far beyond autobiography\, they sound like they could be telling anyone’s story. From Kinnebrew: “Gary calls it ‘the last great American novel’\, I call it cool like the rock you find on the beach that ends up on your dashboard.” \nOver some 30 years\, Scott Kinnebrew has shared the stage with a long list of renowned artists he admires\, including The Black Crowes\, The Avett Brothers\, The Lumineers\, Sturgill Simpson\, Dawes\, Lynyrd Skynyrd\, Lissie\, Levon Helm\, Garth Hudson\, Blind Melon\, Steve Miller Band\, Gov’t Mule\, and The Doobie Brothers. His former band\, Truth & Salvage Co.\, released two records on Sony’s Megaforce label\, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live\, toured Iraq to perform for U.S. troops in 2009\, and racked up 250\,000 road miles in five years. \nProduced by Scott Kinnebrew & Gary Jules Engineered by Scott Kinnebrew at Captain’s Quarters\, Asheville\, NC & Gary Jules at Carport Recorders\, Asheville\, NC. Mastered by Dewey Thomas at Forest Hill Sound\, Asheville\, NC. \n\n\nBreezers has been apRoberts’s musical nom de plume since 2016 but he has been active in the LA music scene since the mid 90s. His first solo record\, Under the Ghost\, released in 2010\, was a hit in LA’s underground country/folk scene but apRoberts is more known for the work he has done as a hired gun\, supporting different artists on guitar and/or bass and vocals. His career as a touring sideman began in the mid 2000s and apRoberts has worked for some impressive acts along the way including Michael Nau\, Pink Mountaintops\, Joel Jerome\, Little Wings\, Kath Bloom\, Tall Tales and the Silver Lining\, Kings of Convenience\, Elisa Randazzo and Port O’Brien\, a band M Ward called his “favorite new band” in a 2008 interview with Pitchfork. \nBreezers is the musical identity and songwriting vehicle of the Los Angeles-based\, multidisciplinary artist and songwriter Evan apRoberts. His songs are influenced by the vastness and romanticism of life in the West and much like the walls of apRoberts’s music and art studio in northeast LA\, they are brimming with desolate views into a world of gritty and sublime landscapes. \n\n  \n\n\n
