Pokey LaFarge writes and performs original and sometimes traditional music, steeped in American blues, country and Western swing from the days when 78s ruled the record player. His music blends his love of classic American literature by authors such as Hemingway and Steinbeck with his newfound love of blues and Americana.
Pokey LaFarge is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, recording artist, poet and actor. The Illinois native has spent over a decade traveling and performing his music around the globe. Since 2006, he has recorded eight full-length albums, most recently 2020’s ‘Rock Bottom Rhapsody’, and has developed a devoted following on both sides of the Atlantic. He made his big-screen debut in 2013 as a saloon singer in Gore Verbinski’s The Lone Ranger, and in 2017 portrayed country legend Hank Snow on the CMT series Sun Records. In 2020, he will appear alongside Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, and Bill Skarsgård in the Jake Gyllenhaal-produced Netflix original film The Devil All The Time.
