Local legends return for an epic show and night full of Reggae/Rock/Ska/Funk/Punk!
Nada Rasta is the culmination of a core group of musicians who have played together for years in several other bands. But after more than a few lineup changes and a lot of time spent hashing out new songs to fit the new group, this band is feverishly looking to travel and get themselves heard. Straight out of the heart of California’s Central Coast, six of SLO County’s finest musicians bring their varied talents to the stage in an effort to create a musical experience that is rich and heavy, glazed over with the smooth sounds of reggae and dub. Combining their influences from Reggae/Dub, Hard Rock, Ska, Punk, Funk, and even some Hip-Hop, Nada Rasta brings nothing but raw, unstoppable energy to the stage. Their mission is to bring positive movements to their audiences while maintaining the purity of six good friends jamming in the garage. Ruben, Rudie, Nate, Paul, Chase, and Chris have come together in this very serious group with the intent to constantly expand their sound and push the limits of their genre.
Nada Rasta has been HONORED to share the stage with acts such as:
Steel Pulse, Tomorrow’s Bad Seeds, Iration, Meet Me at the Pub, Babylon Saints, Tribal Seeds, The Supervillains, Mike Pinto, Groundation, Achachay!, Pacific Dub, Through the Roots, Bare Feet, Chiller Whales, and more.
BABYLON ROCKERS: Drawing from influences from the Caribbean, Pacific Islands, to California, and back again, Babylon Rockers set out to bring reggae music to everyone! Their live shows are a mixture of their original songs, reggae favorites, and some lesser-known rare gems that everyone should know. To put it simply, Babylon Rockers is an expression of the true global nature and evolution of reggae music as a genre. It’s transgenerational, global, one love music, with their own unique flavor sprinkled in.
