Liquid Sky is the San  Francisco Bay Areas premier Jimi Hendrix tribute band. Fred Mabunga (Founder and Frontman) formed this tribute out of the love and passion for Jimi’s music.

The band has evolved with its members since the band was founded by Fred in 2011 and this lineup is the best yet. Currently, Steve Tamer on bass keeps those groovy bass lines flowing somewhere between Noel Redding and Billy Cox. Jimmy Perez fills the roll of Mitch Mitchell on the drums. Jimmy really lays down the groove and really comes close to replicating Mitch’s unmistakable style. This rhythm section allows a fresh canvas to lay down Jimi’s symphony of improvised psychedelic jams. We never play the same thing twice, so you never what you’ll get.

Catch them live and of course you’ll hear all the hits such as Fire, Red House, Voo Doo Child, and Purple Haze, but if you can catch one of their more lengthy sets, you’ll hear the deeper cuts such as Burning  of the Midnight Lamp, Little  Miss Lover, Dolly Dagger and Freedom, that will satisfy even the hardest core Hendrix fans.             Website: liquidskyrock.com.
