Joy Polloi is in it for the fun! These six humans and 18 instruments inhabit a unique sonic envelope with compelling lead vocals, complex harmonies, and unexpected instrumentation creatively applied to well-crafted songs.

Joy Polloi was organically grown on the Central Coast of California. Anita Henry (vocals, cajon, rubboard, hand percussion) and Larry Allen (vocals, guitar, harmonica) met in 2016 while jamming at a music festival. Inspired by the natural fit of their voices, they began to play and their circle steadily got bigger as this beloved band grew around them. Longtime friend and fellow musician John Beccia (keyboards, mandolin, banjo, guitar, melodica) was lured in early on, and recent changes brought the lively addition of Scott Bailey on all things stringed (dobro, guitar, pedal & lap steel, mandolin, cello & more), Phil Gross on bass and Turko Semmes on congas and cajon, . Together, they serve up a genre-evasive mix of uptempo Americana, Acoustic Rock and Electric Folk spiked with New Orleans beats, reggae rhythms and gypsy grooves to get you moving and put a smile on your face!

WARNING: Infectious originals WILL take up residence in your head.
