SUMMARY:Ginger Molasses (A Free Afternoon Dance Band!)
DESCRIPTION:Ginger Molasses is a five-piece rock band formed in 2023 in the Sierra Nevada Foothills town of Nevada City\, California. They draw on elements of soul\, funk\, and southern rock to craft their unique sound. At the helm is front-woman Tawnee Kendall\, whose Nashville-tinged vocals and energetic performances supercharge the band’s live shows. Ginger Molasses’ songwriting celebrates overlooked American subcultures. \n\nGinger Molasses’ self-titled EP was recorded at Light Rail Studios in San Francisco and released July 2024. They followed this up with a single release of River Rats in 2025\, and Heidi Fleiss\, released in January 2026\, both mixed by Grammy-winner Cian Riordan. They are now working on their first full-length album\, slated to be released in the summer of 2026.
