DESCRIPTION:FREE show! 21+ (doors at 7\, music to start shortly after) \nFormed in the mid nineties out of the popular San Luis Obispo band\, Mozaic\, Functus was inspired by the genre bending sounds of the 90’s San Francisco jazz funk scene\, Medeski\, Martin and Wood\, 1970’s electric Miles Davis\, James Brown\, and Parliament/Funkadelic.   Guitarist Jacob Odell\, bassist Dylan Johnson\, and New Orleans based drummer and percussionist Steve Campbell forge an intense jazz/funk/rock hybrid with Indian\, African\, and Cuban music thrown in the mix.\nAfter much success in the local scene and beyond\, the members of the band moved on other areas of the country\, now converging for rare performances when proximity allows.\nJoin Functus for this VARY RARE opportunity to see the band perform live!
