Winter has been influenced by living a life on the edge\, but having the wherewithal to share life’s ups and downs through songs. As a creative talent\, he has always been compelled to do what he does\, even if there’s no fallback option. When it’s all said and done\, the challenges are what makes the music stand out. \n\nBased in San Luis Obispo County on California’s beautiful Central Coast\, Bitterwater Road is a country music band playing classics from the 1960s through 1990s by artists from Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson to Alan Jackson and George Strait\, while also mixing in songs from contemporary artists such as Cody Jinks and Tyler Childers and a few original tunes of the band’s own. \nThe band’s honky tonkin’ electrified sound draws on California’s proud history in country music (who needs Nashville when Bakersfield is right over the hill?) and is perfect for line dancin’\, Western Swing and boot scootin’ of all kinds. \nWe play venues throughout the 805 and are also available for fundraisers\, weddings and private parties.
