DESCRIPTION:Doors open at 7pm 21+ (Tix available at BooBoo Records\, Ticketfly.com or when doors open night of the show) \nThe Siren is a small\, intimate club style venue. Seating and tables are first come first serve when doors open at 7pm. The venue will be closed from 6-7pm to the public to prepare for the show.\n\n  \nMake NO mistake\, This is NO tribute band. This is Rory’s Rhythm Section fronted by Blues Rock Guitar Wiz Davy Knowles. The BAND OF FRIENDS is a force to be reckoned with. \nGerry McAvoy (Bass Guitar) played\, recorded and toured with Rory for 20 years\, from 1971 to 1991.\nGerry played on every album Rory ever made.\nHis 2005 book\, ‘Riding Shotgun’ follows his career and life with Rory (available from www.ridingshotgun.co.uk).\nGerry also played with Deep Joy\, Champion Jack Dupree and Nine Below Zero. \nTed McKenna (Drums) Best known for his work with The Sensational Alex Harvey Band\,\ndrumming legend Ted McKenna played with Rory Gallagher from 1978-81.\nHe recorded the albums ‘Photo Finish’\, ‘Top Priority’ and ‘Stage Struck’.\nTed also played and recorded with Greg Lake of ELP\, Gary Moore\, Michael Schenker and Ian Gillan of Deep Purple. \nMarcel Scherpenzeel (Guitar/Vocals) grew up with Rory’s music and Gerry promises\, “This is the closest guitarist to Rory you will ever hear”.\nFor over twenty years Marcel has carried the torch for blues and rock all over the world.\nHis former bands are Marcel Scherpenzeel Band and Wolfpin. \n \n
