This party boasts 4 of the central coast's favorite vinyl DJs - DJ Fern, Augat, náboh and Mr. Rabbit. Alongside the DJs will be a live painting performance by Cleveland Rewind. This party has the most stacked vinyl DJ lineup you'll find on the coast and an absolute must if you're into dance music and analog vibes! What is the difference between vinyl DJs and the DJs using a computer/USB?

DJing with vinyl everything centers around using the senses of hearing and touch. To match the records together one must listen using headphones to manipulate the next record via touch while the other is playing. In contrast, a DJ using a computer often uses eyesight to match songs via tempo on the screen. Also, with vinyl there are no cue points/loops/beat grid functions so the DJ must know the music well in order to mix precisely.

A vinyl record is an analog sound source. It comes from a stylus, a small pointed component that traces the grooves of the vinyl record, translating the physical patterns into electrical signals that ultimately produce sound. The result is music on vinyl sounds different (arguably better) than the digital version and is most noticeable at volume. Come and experience the treat of vinyl played over the Sirens full sound system. It sounds great!

Some music is only available on vinyl. A good amount of remixes, underground music and cult favorites never get released digitally. Expect to hear some of these unique selections from the DJs.
