The Siren is pleased to present Northern California friends The Gold Souls back to the Siren along with Santa Cruz natives, Smokey and the Groove. Sure to be a fun filled, FREE Thursday night show, these bands blend various styles including soul, funk, rock and blues. Come on out for dinner and a show, seating and tables are available on a first serve basis but the dance floor has plenty of room!

The Gold Souls are bringing the driving grooves of funk, the rich textures of soul, and the compelling storytelling of the blues to the Northern California scene and beyond. Drawing from a wide range of influences and experiences, they deliver captivating lyrics and fresh arrangements over a vintage sound. Led by the dynamic Juniper Waller, the group is made up of young talent hailing from the Bay and Sacramento areas. With Darius Upshaw on guitar, Alex Severson on the keys, Billy D. Thompson on the drums, and Avery Jeffry on bass, each member has a hand in writing and song composition, making The Gold Souls a truly collaborative effort. The Gold Souls burst on the Sacramento music scene in early 2017, and are swiftly becoming one of the most promising new talents in the area.

Smokey The Groove is California’s premiere Rage Funk Experience. They have created a dancing journey that has been showing up all over the Pacific North West. Filled with a full horn section, jazzy guitar, heavy bass, and emotionally powerful drumming, it’s designed to keep the dance floor packed.
