From a dimension that is unfathomable, ineffable yet surely funky as hell, comes a trio of sound-explorers going under the moniker of “BEAT BODEGA.” Combining the powers of electric guitar, bass, synths, trumpet, drum machines/samples and three-part vocal harmonies in a “just-so” way, eargasms are not unheard of. You can’t say that we did not warn you.
The ones that have yet to hear Beat Bodega sometimes ask “So…what kind of music do you fellas play?” How can you put something like this into words? With a smooth blend of funk, rock, reggae, electro/dance and hip-hop- it sure has something for everyone, all coming together with pop sensibility.
Another question Beat Bodega gets is “Who the mother-funk are your influences?” The bands that are included in such a list would look a little something like “George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Portugal. the Man, Gorillaz, LCD Soundsystem, Cake, TV On the Radio, etc. etc. etc. So what now?!
